Frank Nunziata is Jim Tharp Realty’s President, Owner, and the licensed Real Estate Broker. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in accounting, sales, marketing and business ownership. Frank holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and started his career, working for Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a public accountant. Additionally, Nunziata has held senior and executive level positions for numerous Fortune 500 companies. After leaving corporate America, Nunziata started an independent accounting practice, specializing in client businesses, having 50 or less employees.
Nunziata has detailed first-hand knowledge of what it means to operate a Main Street business as he has personally owned both independent and franchised business operations. Having been the Master Franchiser for Buffalo Wings and Rings, in central Ohio, Frank has gained in-depth knowledge of the franchising industry. He has been a licensed Real Estate agent since 2005 and has negotiated numerous leases for both existing and start-up businesses.
In addition, Nunziata has been a Business Broker since 2004, and his unique background differs markedly from most business brokers in the industry. John Duncan is lifelong resident of central Ohio. He is seasoned, professional entrepreneur with over 30 years of small-business experience. John was the Chief Executive Officer of Rent-A-Flick, Inc and directed the start-up and operations of this eight store video chain. During his time at Rent-A-Flick, John worked with Jim Tharp Realty to purchase other video stores to add to company market share, inventory and profits. John also owned and operated retail businesses in tanning, buy sell trade/video games, bakery, and pool/spa supplies. As a business owner, when John decided to sell the bakery and lease the space to a new tenant, he once again called on Jim Tharp Realty for a successful sale. John’s experience as a small business owner and former customer of Jim Tharp (both buying and selling) provides him with insight to the needs of our clients. John will use his experience to meet your objectives in finding a suitable match while providing a level of service that exceeds expectations.
In addition to John’s retail background, he owns a real estate investment company and has experience in property management, site selection, zoning and development. John’s holdings include residential and commercial units including a shopping center he developed. John has years of e-commerce experience through Tanningschool.com, a continuing education company he founded. Tanningschool.com. provides training and instruction for tanning operator certifications in Ohio and several other states. John’s clients are business owners of salons and fitness centers who need properly trained and certified employees to operate tanning equipment according to state and federal regulations.
John serves as a mentor for the Small Business Administration’s Columbus Chapter of SCORE.
